SHARPHAM WINE
Keeping cool
Ever been told that British wines can’t measure up to their international counterparts? You’ve been told wrong! The cool climate at Sharpham Estate along the banks of the River Dart allows the grapes to ripen gradually, preserving their flavour and aroma. Sharpham has been the deserving recipients of countless awards during its 40-year history and we’re sure there are many more to come.
Industry leading
Sharpham was in the first wave of modern vineyards after the demise of commercial vineyards during World War II. After planting its first vineyard in 1981, it has cemented its place at the heart of the industry. A happy marriage of soil, climate and grape varieties along with the use of new world and traditional techniques have allowed the Sharpham team to develop its unique regional characteristics.
